Tasha J’s eight latest psychological thriller recommendations!

Tasha J’s eight latest psychological thriller recommendations!

TASHA’S LATEST PSYCH-THRILLER RECOMMENDATIONS!! She’s been my go to for years now for all things twisty and jaw-dropping (I’d even say I discovered my love of psych-thriller because of her). And now my book twin just rocked my world with one of her past psych-thriller recommendations (Book Review – The Lies I Tell by Julie Clark) and she’s got a mini list of more!

Tasha J: So glad you enjoyed it too!

Maryse: So what latest must-read thriller do you recommend next? 😉

Tasha J: Well, the actual latest I read was:

The Return of Ellie Black. I 5⭐️’d it. 😉 But, I have reader amnesia here for all of these….

MISSING GIRL RETURNS YEARS LATER… “...But something is not right with Ellie. She won’t say where she’s been, or who she’s protecting, and it’s up to Chelsey to find the answers. She needs to get to the bottom of what happened to Ellie: for herself, and for the memory of her sister, but mostly for the next girl who could be taken—and who, unlike Ellie, might never return…

also, loved Listen for the LieWhat if you thought you murdered your best friend? And if everyone else thought so too? And what if the truth doesn’t matter?

Tasha J: A recent favorite read of mine was Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera. I practically inhaled it.

Cheryl: Listen for the Lie was sooo good – I couldn’t sleep until I’d finished it!! If you enjoyed LFTL have you read First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston – go in blind but it was another couldn’t put it down for me!

The Only One Left <— EVERYONE THINKS SHE KILLED HER FAMILY! “…Other than her denial after the killings, she has never spoken publicly about that night, nor has she set foot outside Hope’s End, the cliffside mansion where the massacre occurred. It’s now 1983, and home-health aide Kit McDeere arrives at a decaying Hope’s End to care for Lenora after her previous nurse fled in the middle of the night.

A Lovely Lie – seems like I have a thing for liars here… <— THEY BURIED A SECRET BY LYING TO THE POLICE… Is it better to believe a lovely lie or to know the horrible truth? “...Twenty-two years later, Scarlett has buried that deadly incident deep in her mind and built a comfortable life for herself, working in a hotel on the west coast of Florida and raising her teenage son with her husband Vince. Her peace is disrupted, however, when Pepper’s daughter shows up with news of Pepper’s death.

and First Lie Wins. 😂 “…the one thing she’s worked her entire life to keep clean, the one identity she could always go back to—her real identity—just walked right into this town. Evie Porter must stay one step ahead of her past while making sure there’s still a future in front of her. The stakes couldn’t be higher–but then, Evie has always liked a challenge…”

Cheryl: read First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston – go in blind but it was another couldn’t put it down for me!

Oh, also The Other Mothers, <— THEY WELCOME HER INTO THEIR GROUPWhen the mothers welcome her into their circle, she discovers the kind of life she has always dreamt of—their elegant London townhouses a far cry from her cramped basement flat and endless bills. She is quickly swept up into their wealthy world via coffees, cocktails, and playdates. But when another young woman is found dead, it’s clear there’s much more to the tight-knit community than meets the eye.

The Heiress <—HE’S NOT INTERESTED IN HIS INHERITANCE! “…he rejects his inheritance, settling into a normal life as an English teacher in Colorado and marrying Jules, a woman just as eager to escape her own messy past. Ten years later, his uncle’s death pulls Cam and Jules back into the family fold at Ashby House…”

Tasha J: I finished The Heiress by Rachel Hawkins Thursday and loved it! It was the first fast paced book I read this year.

and from my backlist, The Soulmate by Sally Hepworth. <— MARRIAGE, BETRAYAL & SECRETS!! “...Picture a lovely cottage on a cliff, with sloping lawns, walking paths, and beautiful flowers. It’s Gabe and Pippa Gerard’s dream home in a sleepy coastal town. But their perfect house hides something sinister. The tall cliffs have become a popular spot for people to end their lives. Over the past several months, Gabe comes to their rescue, literally talking them off the ledge. Until one day, he doesn’t. When Pippa discovers Gabe knew the victim, the questions spiral. . .”
