Good evening everyone and happy new year. One minute has passed. know! Life has been busy and I have neglected my blog. sorry. Rosient Mucho.
But guess what? I’m back! And I’ll be updating this blog once a week. on friday. As usual, the content will be book-like. *grin* And I’ll tell you a little bit about what’s going on in my life.
Let’s get started. Today’s review is “The Housemain” by Frieda McFadden.

“Welcome to the family,” Nina Winchester said as I held her elegant, well-manicured hand. I smiled politely as I gazed down the marble hallway. Working here is my last chance to make a new start. You can pretend to be someone you like. But the Winchester family’s secrets soon prove to be far more dangerous than mine…
Every day I clean the Winchesters’ beautiful home from top to bottom. I pick up their daughter from school. Then I cook a delicious meal for the whole family, and then eat alone in a small room on the top floor.
I try to ignore whatever mess Nina makes, only to see me cleaning it up. How she tells weird lies about her own daughter. And that her husband Andrew looks more and more hurt by the day. But as I look into Andrew’s handsome, pain-filled brown eyes, I can’t help but imagine what it would be like to live Nina’s life. Walk-in closet, luxury car, perfect husband.
I only tried on Nina’s pure white dress once. Just see what it’s like. But she soon found out…and by the time she realized that the attic bedroom door was only locked from the outside, she was already too late.
But I reassure myself. The Winchesters don’t know who I really am.
They don’t know what I’m capable of…
An incredibly winding read that will keep you glued to the pages late into the night. Anyone who loved The Woman in the Window, The Wife Between Us, or The Girl on the Train won’t be able to put this down.
review
Honestly, I was surprised! Everything was great. From the way it was written, it went smoothly without any problems. Her writing style is incredible. There are no unusual words, but it was easy to read.
This is really a thriller. The story is about a housekeeper who finds work in a wealthy family and begins working with her daughter for a young, happy couple. But all is not as it seems. There is more to the story as the maid soon starts discovering strange things around the house.
It was a very mysterious story and I was drawn into it. It felt very real and I loved the suspense that ended in each chapter. I love the characters, especially the housewife. She was wonderful, very cunning and smart.
If you are a fan of thrillers and suspense books, I definitely recommend The Housemain by Frieda McFadden.
