Mattel has announced the re-release of three American Girl classics.
Kirsten Larsen, originally released in 1986. Addie Walker, originally released in 1993. Released in 1997, Josefina Montoya is back. Each girl is currently available in two different versions. Each girl comes with an original outfit and look, and the book that comes with the doll has an original cover. Kirsten was an archived doll but was brought back in 2021 with a special her 35th anniversary edition. In this version, Kirsten has reverted to a look as close to her original appearance as possible. Both Addi and Josefina are unarchived, but their costumes and stories have been slightly updated over time.
All three dolls are available for $150 each at: American Girl website now. These arrive in their original packaging style and are sure to hit many of the nostalgia buttons hard (or, as is often the case, if you couldn’t own such a doll as a child but are now a child).
